Thank you for visiting my website and learning a bit more about how I can help you. Fitness and health is an important part of both my personal life and my career.  As a wife and mother, I encourage my family to make healthy eating choices and exercise each day. This may sound easy, but when your child is reaching for potato chips or the video game remote, teaching them why these choices are not in their best interest is a challenge.

My love of health and fitness has definitely influenced my career path.  Over the years I've worked as a certified spinning and pilates instructor, which evolved into my becoming a personal trainer.  I've worked as a sales representative for a line of nutritional supplements, and I've owned and operated a fitness studio. Each of these positions has allowed me to share my passion for fitness and health with others.

I truly believe that everyone has the ability to change their body and their mindset if they are willing to work at it. As a personal trainer, I noticed a fundamental element missing from my clients' sessions.  Each time I would push them to their physical limits, building strength and endurance.  However, I was unable to spend much time discussing nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. Let's face it, you can exercise until you're exhausted, but unless you are making healthy eating choices and generally are happy with yourself and your life, you'll find it nearly impossible to lose weight, maintain weight loss, or feel physically or mentally satisfied.  Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is a 70/30 balance.  70% is eating healthy and feeling good about yourself.  30% is doing some form of exercise most days.

I am a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner and a 2009 graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I also hold an Associate's Degree in Business Administration from Katharine Gibbs College. I am a co-host and producer of the Health Hanover TV Show and the author of "365 Days To A Whole New You." I also volunteer my time on several committees and organizations in my home town.
